Pressure Forming

Pressure forming is a thermoforming process similar to vacuum forming but it utilizes a high pressure air assist to create significantly better part definition.

In many cases pressure formed parts can actually be made to have a comparable finish to that of an injection molded part.

Advantages of Pressure Forming:

  • Ability to obtain an injection molded appearance with much lower tooling cost. Pressure forming can be a very viable option for applications where an injection molded appearance is desired, but the volume of the application may not warrant the cost of injection molded tooling.
  • A surface texture can be applied to the part directly from mold.
  • Ability to incorporate numbers, letters and logo's in the molded part.

Please see the capabilities page to see a list of the materials we commonly work with. If your application requires a material that you do not see listed, please contact us, as not all materials we work with are listed.
